The Nordal bollard puts light at the height it is actually needed. A cylinder standing 31 to 138 inches tall lays warm light directly onto a path or driveway surface without the glare of a wall pack aimed at eye level, and a run of them defines the edge of a walkway after dark so people can see where the paving stops and the planting starts. Coverage runs 108 to 161 square feet per unit, which sets a comfortable spacing for a garden path.
Die cast aluminium is the reason it lasts outdoors. The alloy sheds heat from the LED and does not rust, and the die cast wall thickness gives the column enough mass to stay upright against wind and the occasional knock from a mower or wheelbarrow. Weight runs from 7.67 to 16.14 pounds depending on height, so the taller units are substantial rather than flimsy. The IP65 seal keeps out dust and driven rain year round.
The PC shade delivers a warm white 3000K that flatters brick, timber and planting instead of washing them grey, and wattage scales with height from 14W up to 59W so a tall bollard is not dim. Six heights let you mix low units along a path with taller ones at a gate or turn, building depth rather than a flat line of identical lights.
