Ribbed glass on all four faces is what separates the Cassia from a plain lantern. The flutes scatter the light sideways instead of letting it escape in a single hard beam, so the fixture reads as a soft glowing column from every approach and lays an even spread of light across a driveway, gate or garden path. Because the glass is clear rather than frosted, the fixture still looks crisp and architectural during daylight hours when it is not lit.
The body is stainless steel, painted and sanded, chosen because pillar lights sit low and take the worst of the weather: sprinklers, splash back, road salt and standing water. Stainless resists the rust that eats through mild steel posts within a season or two, and the fixture is built to resist high temperatures and water ingress along with it. Five widths from 9.8 to 23.6 inches let you scale the light to the pillar or gate post it sits on rather than perching an undersized fixture on a large column.
Power is flexible. Run it hardwired at 24W where you have a supply, or use the 4W solar version where trenching a cable is not practical, which makes it usable on a far garden wall or a gate at the end of a drive. Color temperature steps through 3000K, 4500K, 6000K and red, controlled by remote or wall switch, and the E27 LED bulb is included.
