The Solera is built around a warm, low glare glow rather than raw brightness. Its layered shade holds the source inside and lets light escape as a graded wash, closer to the last half hour of daylight than to a ceiling fitting. Sat over a table it lights faces and plates without putting a hot spot in anyone's line of sight.
The silhouette comes straight out of Bauhaus thinking: a circle, a stem, no ornament.
